As
a teenager, St. Clare of Assisi's faith was ignited
by hearing the Gospel message. From her
teenage years on, she devoted her life to giving
back and always saw herself as a servant of Christ.
Her
example as a teenage servant leader is the model
we strive for through a new Grant project aimed
at parish youth ministry programs. We hope
that funding made available through Operation
St. Clare grants will ignite teenagers in the
New Albany Deanery to give back to others in their
own backyard.
How
does this Grant Process work:
Parishes
from the New Albany Deanery (or parish clusters)
may submit a proposal for funds that would be
used to ignite a service project in their “backyard”.
Amounts of between $100-$200 (depending
on the number of requests received) will be awarded
to assist parishes in grass roots service learning
projects. The proposals should be created
by youth from deanery parishes with guidance from
adults and submitted to the YMAT team for consideration.
