Therefore prepare your minds for
action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope
on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when
he is revealed. (1 Peter 1:13)
With school starting, our minds are becoming
more active. We pull ourselves together to
do homework, get to class, and pay attention.
We are challenged by Peter to set all our hope
on the grace of Jesus Christ. Where have you
set your hopes this year?
Holy Wisdom, my hopes are set on many things:
good friends, relationships, grades, success.
You can easily slip down to the bottom of my
list. Help me to remember that when you come
first, everything else will follow.
