They came and they gave of their service!

It was a sure-fire rewarding summer with Service and Social time!

It was a Middle School bust out at Mount Saint Francis with the middle-school students as their days were filled with service opportunities; indoor crazy fun at the Main Event and then splashin’ time at the Aquatic Park in Jeffersonville with all the other students in the Deanery.  Thank you to the Youth Ministers and the students for all their hard work!

Would you like to connect with others who are also looking for answers?

We will be gathering to explore all of this with you in our upcoming Bible study.

Thirsty Thursday EVERY Thursday this Summer

Every Thursday evening this summer, starting at 6:00 pm at Catholic Youth Ministries, we will meet-up for Thirsty Thursday.  Meet for dinner first and then we will take an amazing look at the Catholic Faith as we have not seen it before.  Do you have questions about the 2,000-year-old traditions?  Is your faith, your worldview?  Maybe you’ve wondered if it is more a way of life?  A relationship?  A mystery?  Essentials you may have questions about are all on the table this summer.

Hosted by Philip Weise, Director of Catholic Youth Ministries; College and Young Adult Lead.

safe and sacred buttonThe Archdiocese of Indianapolis has initiated a convenient new online training program for adults on protecting children from harm. The training builds awareness of how to recognize and report physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and child sexual abuse. Safe and Sacred replaces the Virtus program and offers broader content and easier access to training.

The training is available in English and Spanish 24 hours per day, 7 days per week at www.safeandsacred-archindy.org it takes about 45 minutes to complete and can be done in parts. As of August 1, 2013, all new clergy, employees, and volunteers who have contact with children must complete the Safe and Sacred program before beginning ministry, work, or volunteer service. Current clergy, employees, and volunteers will re-certify starting in January 2014.
